VEFA VAKFI

Vefa Vakfi is a humanitarian organization based in Istanbul, Turkey, established in December 2013. Vefa works to improve the lives of the poor through economic empowerment (“Islamic solidarity financing”) and by providing support in the fields of education, health, people with special needs, women breadwinners, and relief.

Since 2013, Vefa has implemented more than 28 projects targeting refugees in Turkey and Lebanon, as well as vulnerable families in Indonesia and Palestine (Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Jerusalem).

Since its establishment in Istanbul in December 2013, Vefa
Vakfi has been dedicated to bringing hope and dignity to
vulnerable communities. Our mission goes beyond aid we
focus on empowerment through Islamic solidarity
financing, education, health, and support for women and
people with special needs.

Over the years, we have proudly implemented more than
28 humanitarian projects in Turkey, Lebanon, Indonesia,
and Palestine (Gaza, West Bank, and Jerusalem), striving
to create lasting change and build a future of compassion

HOPE TERMINAL

is an intelligent interactive device designed for public fundraising. It
is placed in public locations such as airports, train stations, and
large commercial areas like malls and shopping centers.

This device plays a major role in encouraging people to donate small
amounts typically not exceeding five dollars to support a specific
idea or initiative in a highly engaging and inspiring way.

STUDENT EMPOWERMENT

The Student Empowerment Project is a charitable education initiative that supports outstanding students from low-income families by helping them complete their university education through scholarships and educational loans.

SYRIAN REFUGEE

The Syrian Refugee Relief Project in Turkey is a humanitarian initiative that provides essential daily necessities—such as cooking supplies, fuel, heating equipment, and hygiene products—to Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Turkey, addressing critical basic needs often overlooked by other relief efforts.

VEFA believes that any place where it can serve the community and finds an opportunity to do so is a place where it can offer its services to the groups and achieve the goals it works for. It carries out its activities through its own team, or through supervision and collaboration with its partners, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), in the regions and countries where it operates.

To date, VEFA has organized events, activities, and visits across four continents: the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

VEFA began its activities in Turkey in 2013. From the outset, it collaborated with leading civil society organizations both within and outside Turkey, as well as with numerous civil society organizations in various countries.

At VEFA, a team of professionals works to supervise and implement events and manage relationships with various partners. In addition, VEFA has a team of volunteers of different ages who follow up and implement VEFA’s various activities and events so that the community can serve each other.
